2 Green and White Fans! Darren Shan and Tomás Crowe (Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh). Darren Shan is well known all over the world. He is a ‘multi-million’ best-selling author. His books: include Cirque du Freak and The Vampire’s Assistant – you may have seen the Hollywood movie based on these books… But did you know that Darren played hurling and football as a young boy in Pallaskenry and that he featured on the front cover of The Green and White Magazine a few years ago, along with his dad, his grandad and his cousin, All-Star hurler, Andrew O Shaughnessy. Darren is holding a copy of that issue of the magazine in his hands in this photo taken recently during a book reading/signing session at Limerick City Library.
